Q.Do I install National seals dry or with lubrication?

A.National seals (except PTFE seals) should have a light film of lubrication applied to the lip prior to installation. In applications where PTFE seals will be retaining a lubricant or be fully flooded with a fluid, the seals should be installed dry.

Q.Where can I find torque specs?

A.Torque specifications are available at www.fme-cat.com.

Q.Do I need a special tool to remove an oil seal?

A.Most seals will require a seal puller or other tool to remove.
