Founded in 1982, the Dinex Group was a product of Jørgen Dinesen's and his wife Grethe's strong entrepreneurial passion and a keen eye for spotting market potentials of exhaust and emission solutions for heavy duty vehicles. Although people were skeptical that they would make it big in the heavy duty industry, Jorgen, along with his seven staff members, pushed through with the project and started ramping up production in a rented backroom. It took them more than ten years before they could finally penetrate the European heavy duty aftermarket. Over the years, Dinex has expanded its operations and increased its production capacity. After conquering the European aftermarket, it went above and beyond to reach its target of OEM factory expansion from 2001 to 2011 and global expansion for both aftermarket and OEM from 2011 up to present. Today, Dinex operates in 15 countries on three continents, continues to ramp up production in its ten sites, and responds to customers' needs via its 16 distribution centers and six technology centers. But the company's success would not be possible without the seven staff members who believed in Jorgen's and Grethe's vision. From seven staff members, Dinex now has 2,000 employees and 140 engineers and R&D, who are knowledgeable and skilled in terms of exhaust and emission parts production and are also passionate and hardworking, just like their founders.
