The company was also best known for introducing the Full Vision cab during WWII, which swapped the traditional steel square housings used in tractors to protect the driver with an all-glass enclosure. Revolutionary for its day, the new design gave the operator better vision and increased safety at the worksite. The Full Vision became a signature feature in subsequent Unit Crane models until the business was purchased in the late '80s by the Offshore Crane Co. in New Orleans.
