Wagner is a manufacturer dedicated to the manufacturing and production of brakes and lighting solutions for the heavy-duty trucking industry and other applications. The pieces, parts, and hardware produced under the Wagner brand have a proven history of dependability and a reputation earned alongside the industry giant that created it: Federal-Mogul.
Federal-Mogul wasn't always in charge of the Wagner brand. In fact, the Wagner brand is 8 years older than Federal-Mogul. Founded in 1891 under the name Wagner Electric Manufacturing Company, Wagner started out as a tiny, manufacturer of self-starting motors for desk fans. What started as a two-room operation in a small home would soon turn into a massive, multi-national enterprise. Come 1998, what was then named Wagner Lighting, would be acquired by none other than Federal-Mogul.
Today, the Wagner brand enjoys access to the multi-national design, manufacturing, and distribution networks of its parent company, Federal-Mogul, and functions as the lighting division thereof. Wagner manufactures a wide variety of products in the categories of brakes and lighting. Although these two categories don't seem like they'd involve complementary manufacturing processes, the Wagner brand has long made it work in an affordable and high-performance way.
